Racegoers Etiquette

Our policy around the behaviour of our guests.

Behaviour And Alcohol Policy

The management and staff at Ffos Las Racecourse want all of our customers to have an exciting, fun but most importantly safe time whilst at the races.

Occasional issues at other racecourses have highlighted the problems that can occur when customers drink to excess or are under the influence of illicit drugs. So we thought it would be helpful to remind everyone of our current arrangements to avoid confusion and to encourage the safest environment for everyone’s enjoyment.

Ffos Las Racecourse actively supports the “Pace Yourself Campaign” and in doing so will not tolerate bad behaviour towards our customers or staff by anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

To support our aims our staff will reserve the right to:

  • Refuse to serve customers who appear to be drunk
  • Refuse to serve customers who are knowingly buying alcohol for others who are drunk
  • Exclude from the racecourse anyone who appears drunk upon arrival at the venue
  • Remove from the racecourse anyone who’s conduct is, or is likely to, threaten the safety and well-being of other customers or our staff.
  • Exclude from the racecourse anyone found in possession of illegal drugs or drugs paraphernalia upon arrival
  • Deploy drug identification dogs at the racecourse and ask persons indicated to voluntarily submit to a search by trained personnel.
  • Remove from the racecourse anyone found in possession of drugs or paraphernalia or who refuses to undergo the search as a condition of entry.
