Following the announcement of the return of spectators to English racecourses from December 2nd, we are currently waiting for guidance about Welsh racecourses. Updates will be posted to the news page
Ffos Las Racecourse is in South Wales, situated just off the A484 between Llanelli and Carmarthen. Set in a rural area of Carmarthen, the racecourse is clearly signposted on your approach. Find detailed instructions on how to get here by your preferred method of transport here.
Ffos Las is a fairly relaxed racecourse which operates a smart casual dresscode. Customers are encouraged to dress up for our feature days. Ripped or torn jeans, trainers and rugby or football shirts are not permitted.
No. Though we love animals, we can only allow guide dogs and assistance dogs onto racecourse grounds.
This depends on the race day. On our ‘picnic’ race day and on family fun days, you can bring food and drink on to the racecourse (no alcohol allowed). On the majority of race days you cannot bring food or drink on to the racecourse, and there are bag searches in place. There is a wide range of food outlets available at the venue.
We do all we can to ensure all visitors have a good experience with us. Some of our facilities include: disabled parking, disabled toilets widely available, and access to all areas including the restaurant via a lift. You can find more detailed information on our venue accessibility page.
Limited seating is available. You are also permitted to bring in fold up chairs, but no tables or anything similar.
Yes! Even better, children aged 17 and under can attend for free, so long as they are accompanied by an adult. If your child is almost 18 and looks that bit older, you may want to bring ID to ensure free entry.
There are cash machines available on site (notably in the ground floor Blinkers suite), and credit/debit cards are widely accepted.
We want to create an enjoyable day out for everyone who attends our races. This is why we operate a zero tolerance policy on admitting customers who are inebriated on arrival. We also operate bag searches, and there are sniffer dogs in operation. Our full policy can be found here.
