And we’re off!! Following the recent positive announcement from the Welsh Government, we are very excited to be able to welcome you back to Ffos Las Racecourse. Tickets for fixtures taking place after 7th June are now ON SALE!
All pathways on the racecourse are suitable for wheelchair users, but there are some steep areas where guests may require some additional assistance. The racecourse has an additional accessible entrance, allowing easier access for wheelchair users, pushchairs and visitors with working dogs.
The entrance from the car park to the racecourse is one level. Once inside, the paths slope around the grounds, where extra assistance will be required. There are no steps for access to all areas, with the exception of Bridles Restaurant. Bridles is located on the first floor of the main Grandstand, where a service lift is available. There are large areas of grassed areas around the racecourse, where wheelchair users will need to take extra care, as the ground is soft.
We have allocated accessible viewing areas, which cannot be reserved. We ask that only one person/carer accompanies the racegoer in these areas.
There is seating available around the racecourse, however, for guests who find it difficult to stand for long periods, we recommend you bring a folding chair to guarantee yourself a seat.
The Grandstand has raised viewing areas that are close to the finish line.
Bridles Restaurant and Private Hospitality Suites all have balconies that are suitable for wheelchair users.
Carers will receive free admission to the racecourse when accompanying a paying disabled guest.
Carer tickets can be collected from the racecourse office on the fixture when proof of disability is provided (e.g. a Blue Badge (with accompanying photo ID), Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment or signed letter from GP (with accompanying photo ID).)
Please contact the racecourse team at least 24 hours in advance with your name and details of the fixture you wish to attend to arrange these tickets. Subject to availability.
Service animals are permitted to the racecourse. These include Registered Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Medical Alert Animals.
Pathways to food outlets are accessible to wheelchair users, if further assistance is required on the day, please ask a member of the team.
If you need to feed your baby and prefer to do this away from the public, nursing mothers can use a private room in our Reception office. Please advise a member of the team on arrival if this may be required.
Allergen Awareness - Guests attending hospitality are asked to advise of special dietary requirements in advance. General Admission guests that require information on food allergies and special dietary needs will need to speak directly to the catering team on the day, who can advise on options.
There are a number of accessible toilets across the racecourse:
Main Entrance –located in the building directly on the left, through the turnstiles. Grandstand – located on the ground level in Blinkers and in Bridles on the first floor. McCoy’s – located to the right of the room as you enter through main doors. Owners & Trainers – located in the bar before entering the restaurant
If you require assistance from on-site medical personnel, including paramedics, our team will direct you to the First Aid Point.
